EGG FRIED RICE | STARTUP COOKING
Egg Fried Rice is the most simple and delicious rice dish, which is extremely easy to cook. It’s a delicious dish that combines eggs, rice, colorful veggies and seasonings, such as soy sauce and vinegar. It’s always the perfect way to use up leftover rice and it’s a great option for a quick and easy meal.
This Egg fried rice recipe is packed with protein and other essential nutrients from the eggs and the veggies. It tastes best when served with chicken manchurian, crispy chilli paneer or cauliflower manchurian. If you’re fond of veggies, then you can customize this egg rice recipe by adding more vegetables as you like.

RECIPE FOR EGG FRIED RICE

Non-veg Starters
INGREDIENTS
- 1.5 cup basmati rice
- 3 egg
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- 2 tbsp garlic – finely chopped
- 2 tbsp white stalk – chopped
- 1/4 cup carrot – chopped
- 1/4 peas – fresh / frozen
- 1/4 cup corn
- 1/4 cup capsicum – chopped
- 1/2 cup cabbage – shredded
- 1.5 tbsp soy sauce
- 1.5 tsp vinegar
- 1.5 tbsp red chilli sauce
- 1/4 tsp pepper powder
- salt to taste
- 1/4 cup spring onion – for garnish

PROCEDURE
- rinse the rice in water for 2-3 times and then soak the rice in water for 20 minutes
- bring 5 cups of water to boil and add a tsp of oil
- once water starts to boil, add soaked rice and mix well
- cook the rice on medium flame until 85% of rice cooked
- drain the water and keep the cooked rice aside
- break the eggs in a bowl and beat for 1 minute and make little frothy
- heat oil in the pan, add chopped garlic and saute for 30-40 seconds
- add chopped white stalks and fry for a minute
- add chopped veggies including peas and corn
- stir fry the veggies on high flame for 2-3 minutes and it should be little crunchy so don’t over cook
- keep the flame low and add fluffy eggs in to the veggies, scramble and cook on low medium flame
- if the pan is too dry, add 1 tbsp oil and mix well
- once the eggs are cooked well, increase the flame to high and add soy sauce, vinegar and red chilli sauce
- mix well and add cooked rice along with salt and pepper powder
- mix well and cook on high flame and stir fry the rice for about 2-3 minutes
- garnish with chopped spring onions and serve hot
- taste delicious ????
NOTES
- using sesame oil will give the fried rice a nice light fragrance
- try to use day old rice
- you can use whatever vegetables you want for this recipe
- if you want to add more flavor to the fried rice, mix 1 tbsp of my teriyaki sauce

Egg Fried Rice with Step By Step Photo Recipe
soak 1 cup basmati rice in water
bring water to boil in sauce pot and add soaked basmati rice
cook the rice on medium flame until 85% of rice cooked
drain the water and keep the rice aside to cool
break 3 eggs in a bowl
whisk for a minute
heat oil in a pan, add chopped garlic and saute for a minute
add chopped white stalks and stir fry for 30 seconds
add chopped carrot, capsicum, peas and corn
stir fry on high flame for 1-2 minute or until it gets crunchy
add shredded cabbage
mix well and stir fry for a minute
add whisked eggs in center of the veggies
cook on low medium flame and scramble the eggs gently
add soy sauce, vinegar and red chilli sauce
mix well
add cooked rice, salt and pepper powder
combine well with the veggies and stir fry the rice
for about 2-3 minutes
garnish with spring onions
serve hot immediately
