ONION TOMATO CURRY WITH STEP BY STEP PHOTO RECIPE

heat 4 tbsp of oil in a saucepan, temper with mustard seeds, urad dal, hing and curry leaves

add 1 large finely chopped onion and crushed garlic

saute for 5 minutes in medium flame until they turn transparent

add juicy chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder and salt

mix well with sautéed onions

continue to cook this mixture for 5-7 minutes in medium flame until the raw smell of spices goes away

add half a cup of water and bring this mixture to boil. continue to cook for 2 minutes and then turn off the flame

serve onion tomato curry with idly, dosa or chapathi

5 garlic – crushed
1 onion – finely chopped
2 tomato – chopped
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp red chilli powder
2 tsp coriander powder
salt – to taste
