Here i frosted the chocolate cake with favorite chocolate cream cheese frosting. In the addition of adding coffee works to elevate the flavors of chocolate cake. I decorated the cake with some curls and candys. RECIPE FOR CHOCOLATE CAKE

INGREDIENTS

For Chocolate Cake

  • 3 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 cup warm coffee (1 tbsp coffee powder with 2 cup water)
  • 2 tbsp white vinegar
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 2/3 cup olive oil or vegetable oil

For Chocolate Frosting

  • 1.5 cup unsalted butter – room temperature
  • 15 oz cream cheese
  • 5 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

For Chocolate Cake Decor

PROCEDURE

  • in a large mixing bowl, whisk all purpose flour, unsweetened cocoa powder, sugar, baking soda and salt, keep it aside
  • in a mixing jar, mix warm coffee, vinegar, vanilla extract and olive oil
  • mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients just until they combine together
  • batter will be slightly lumpy
  • take two 9″ cake pan and grease with butter or olive oil
  • line the bottom with a ring of parchment paper in two pans
  • divide the batter equally in two prepared pans
  • preheat the oven at 350 degree F
  • bake for 35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean
  • cool the cake completely before frosting
  • to make chocolate frosting, in a large mixing bowl, beat unsalted butter and cream cheese on high speed until creamy consistency
  • now add powdered sugar, cocoa powder and salt
  • beat on medium speed until smooth consistency
  • finally add vanilla extract, beat for 1 minute
  • chocolate frosting is ready
  • now remove the cake from the baking pan
  • remove the parchment paper from two cakes
  • place one cake on cake stand
  • add prepared chocolate frosting on top of the cake
  • place the other cake on top
  • add some frosting mix and spread evenly to all sides of the cake
  • refrigerate the cake for 1 hour 
  • decorate the cake with some chocolate curls and chocolate candy

Chocolate Cake With Step-By-Step Photo Recipe

in a mixing bowl, take all purpose flour

add unsweetened cocoa powder

add sugar

add baking soda

add salt

whisk well

in another mixing bowl, take warm coffee (not hot)

add lemon juice/white vinegar

add vanilla extract

add vegetable oil/olive oil

mix well

add wet ingredients into dry ingredients

mix well until they come together

cake batter ready

take two 9″ round baking pan, line with parchment paper

grease with olive oil

divide the batter equally in two pan

preheat oven at 350 degree F and bake for 35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean

cool down completely and then remove the parchment paper

For Frosting: In another large mixing bowl, add unsalted butter

add cream cheese

using electric beater, start beat on high speed 

beat well until a silky and creamy consistency

add powdered sugar

add unsweetened cocoa powder

add salt

add vanilla extract. beat for 1 minute. chocolate frost is ready

place one cake on cake stand, add prepared chocolate frosting on top of the cake, spread evenly, place the other cake on top, add some frosting mix and spread evenly to all sides of the cake

refrigerate for 1 hour

decorate the cake with chocolate curls and candy’s
