PROCEDURE
  • Clean and wash chicken with 1 tsp turmeric powder.
  • In a pressure cooker, add 1 tbsp oil, add pepper corn and cumin seed.
  • fry for a minute in a medium flame.
  • add thinly sliced small onion.
  • saute for 2 minute in medium flame.
  • add chopped tomatoes.
  • saute tomato till become juicy.
  • add coconut and saute well.
  • cool completely.
  • transfer to a mixer grinder, grind to a smooth paste. keep it aside.
  • In the same pressure cooker, add 2 tbsp sesame oil.
  • add clove, cinnamon, bay leaf and star anise.
  • add onion, saute till become translucent.
  • add ginger garlic paste. fry till raw smell goes off.
  • add marinated chicken.
  • add turmeric powder, chilli powder, garam masala.
  • combine all spices and allow to coat with chicken well.
  • add grounded masala paste (coconut paste).
  • mix well.
  • add salt and again mix well.
  • add a cup of water.
  • close the lid.
  • pressure cook for 3-5 whistle.
  • release the pressure.
  • add coriander leaves.
  • mix well.
  • serve this delicious hot pepper chicken with rice, roti, chapathi and naan.
