RECIPE FOR COCONUT MACAROON

COCONUT MACAROON VIDEO RECIPE

INGREDIENTS

  • 3 egg
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/8 tsp vanilla extract
  • pinch of kosher salt
  • 2.5 cup coconut powder/ desiccated coconut

PROCEDURE

  • place 3 eggs in a bowl
  • break the egg, separate egg white from egg yolk using egg separator (store egg yolk for other recipes)
  • add sugar, kosher salt and vanilla extract in egg white
  • whip the egg white on high speed using hand blender fitted with the whisk attachment or blender attachment until they form stiff peak
  • add coconut powder
  • carefully fold the egg whites into the coconut mixture
  • place parchment paper in the cookie pan
  • with a small cookie scoop, scoop the macaroons into 1 inch ball size
  • place the cookie balls on the baking sheet
  • preheat oven to 325 degree Fahrenheit
  • bake for about 18-20 minutes, or until the macaroons are golden brown
  • cool down completely

Coconut Macaroon with Step-By-Step Photo Recipe

take 3 egg

break the egg and separate egg white using separator

egg yolk and egg white are separated 

in the egg white, add sugar

add vanilla extract

add kosher salt

whip the egg white on high speed using hand blender fitted with whisk attachment or blender attachment until they form stiff peak

whip the egg white like this

add coconut powder

carefully fold coconut powder into egg white

place parchment paper in the cookie pan

with a small cookie scoop, scoop the macaroon into 1 inch ball size

place the cookie balls in the baking pan

preheat oven to 350 degree Fahrenheit

place baking pan in the middle of the rack and bake for 18-20 minutes or until the macaroons are golden brown

macaroons are ready

cool down completely on the wire rack
