RECIPE FOR GINGER GARLIC PASTE

INGREDIENTS

  • 50 g Garlic
  • 50 g Ginger
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil

PROCEDURE

  • peel the garlic skin and discard it
  • wash the ginger and peel the skin
  • chop the ginger into small pieces
  • air dry the ginger and garlic (make sure no water in it) or else dry them in kitchen towel
  • add ginger and garlic into mixer grinder
  • add salt and sesame oil
  • grind to a fine paste without adding water
  • store in an air tight container and refrigerate
NOTE
  1. keep in mind to add less salt in any recipe that you make using this ginger garlic paste
  2. salt and oil help in preserving the paste, so it doesn't turn dark too
  3. take equal ratio of ginger and garlic
  4. use sesame oil and olive oil, works great
