PUNUGULU | IDLI BATTER BONDA | ANDHRA RECIPE | EVENING SNACK | STARTUP COOKING

punugulu

Punugulu is a popular Andhra snack from Andhra cuisine with Idli Dosa batter. Punugulu is a common street food or an evening snack in Andhra Pradesh. The consistency of the batter should be thick and soft. Add chopped onion, green chilli, coriander leaves, baking soda and salt with batter. For more crispy Punugulu, add rice flour and rava (semolina) to the batter. It should be crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.

Serve Punugulu hot with coconut chutney or peanut chutney or tomato chutney or Karam podi with a cup of tea or coffee.  Follow my step-by-step photo recipe to prepare Punugulu. If you like this recipe, share it, tweet it and pin it. Please do try and post your comments.
