Strawberry jam is quick and easy recipe to make at home without using a pectin. The Jam is soft, spreadable and delicious. Strawberry jam recipe uses three simple ingredients  and comes together in less than 30 minutes. RECIPE FOR STRAWBERRY JAM

INGREDIENTS

  • 550 gm Strawberry (clean and roughly chopped ) 
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1/2 tbsp Lemon Juice (optional )

PROCEDURE

  • In a heavy bottom non-stick pan, add roughly chopped strawberry
  • add sugar
  • stir well
  • cook on low-medium flame until the sugar dissolves
  • now add lemon juice
  • mix well
  • boil for 5-8 minutes
  • keep stirring occasionally to prevent burning of strawberry
  • continue to boil for another 10-12 minutes in low-medium flame.
  • mash the strawberry using ladle or until you get smooth consistency
  • cook on medium flame till the jam thickens and the foams disappear completely
  • to check the consistency, dip a spoon into the jam (check video) and make sure it doesn't drop off, or else continue to cook further
  • cool completely
  • store in a air tight container
  • spread over bread
  • Enjoy with your family and kids.
