INGREDIENTS
  • 1/2 cup flax seed powder (roast and ground to a fine powder)
  • 1/2 cup wheat flour
  • 1 cup ghee 
  • pinch of salt
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/8 cup water
  • 2 tbsp cashews
  • 2 tbsp almonds (chopped)
  • 2 tbsp walnuts (chopped)
  • 1 tbsp raisin (chopped)
PROCEDURE
  • Add a spoonful of ghee in a heavy bottomed pan
  • add roasted flax seed powder
  • roast for few minutes in low flame or until it releases the roasted aroma and slightly changes its color
  • transfer to a bowl, keep it aside
  • in the same pan, add a tbsp of ghee
  • add wheat flour
  • roast for 4-5 minutes in low flame
  • transfer to a bowl and keep it aside
  • in the same pan, add water
  • add sugar
  • mix well
  • cook until the sugar gets dissolve in the water completely
  • check for one string consistency
  • now the sugar syrup is ready
  • add pinch of salt and cardamom powder
  • add roasted flours (flaxseed powder and wheat flour)
  • now add chopped almonds, cashews, walnuts and raisins
  • combine altogether
  • add the remaining ghee
  • mix well
  • now grease hands with ghee
  • take some mixture and make a ball out of it
  • repeat the process
  • Flax seed ladoos are ready
  • store in an airtight container for a week
  • Enjoy with family and friends
