RECIPE FOR SPROUTED MOONG DAL SALAD

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup whole green gram 
  • 3/4 cup chopped cabbage
  • 1/2 cup grated carrot
  • 1/2 cup chopped tomato
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1 green chilli – finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp coriander leaves – finely chopped
  • 1/2 tbsp lemon juice
  • salt to taste

PROCEDURE

  • soak whole green gram in water for overnight
  • drain the excess water
  • wrap the soaked whole green gram in handkerchief or muslin cloth
  • keep in room temperature for 12 hours
  • now sprouted green gram ready
  • transfer it into mixing bowl
  • add grated cabbage and carrot
  • add chopped onion, tomato, green chilli and coriander leaves
  • add lemon juice and salt
  • combine well
  • sprouted moong dal salad is ready to serve
  • serve immediately or refrigerate for 1 hour  and serve chilled

soak whole moong dal in water for overnight

this is soaked whole moong dal

drain the excess water

place it in the handkerchief

wrap tightly and keep at room temperature for 12 hours

sprouted moong dal ready

add in to the mixing bowl

add grated cabbage, carrot, chopped onion and tomato

add finely chopped green chilli and coriander leaves

add lemon juice

add salt

combine well and ready to be served
