 MANGO PARATHA | STARTUP COOKING



Mango Paratha is  sweet, healthy and delicious flatbread recipe prepared with freshly juicy mangoes, wheat flour and with some Indian spices.  This is vegan and perfect for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Mango Paratha has a mix of flavours, sweet and spicy mango meal, for sure it will tickle your taste buds. This is not a stuffed chappathi. I have added pulp directly to the flour.

Mango paratha is not just healthy but also easy to prepare. These parathas are very filling and can be served on numerous occasions like kids parties, pot lucks, buffet, etc., It goes well with plain curd or pickle. Follow my step by step photo recipe to prepare Mango Paratha. RECIPE FOR MANGO PARATHA

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 small mango - 1/2 cup mango puree
  • 1/4 tsp roasted cumin seed powder
  • 1/4 tsp red chilli powder
  • salt - to taste
  • ghee/oil to toast paratha
METHOD
  • take 1 cup whole wheat flour in a mixing bowl
  • add half cup mango puree, roasted cumin powder, red chilli powder and salt
  • mix well and then knead it into soft and non-sticky dough
  • rest the dough for 15-30 minutes
  • pinch a medium sized ball dough and place it on the floured surface and make a round circle using the rolling pin, the thickness of the rolled circle should be little bit more than roti
  • place the prepared paratha in hot tawa
  • add a tsp of oil on top of the paratha and spread to all over the sides and cook for a minute
  • then flip over the paratha to other side and cook evenly or until the golden brown spots appear on them. it will puff up nicely
  • repeat the same process with the remaining dough

  • Enjoy flavorful Mango Paratha with raitha, pickle or any other vegetable curry
  • Delicious 😋 
NOTES
  • make sure to cook the parathas in low flame
  • it doesn’t  taste sweet
  • you can also add garam masala for the flavor
