Recipe for Turmeric Golden Milk

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 inch fresh turmeric
  • a pinch of cardamom powder
  • a pinch of cinnamon powder
  • 1 tsp honey
PROCEDURE
  • Peel the skin of fresh turmeric
  • make a paste using pestle and mortar or mixer grinder by adding little water
  • in a sauce pan, add a cup of milk
  • add a spoonful of turmeric paste
  • mix well
  • cook for 5-7 minutes in medium flame
  • allow to boil
  • mix well frequently
  • now add, a pinch of cardamom powder
  • mix well
  • strain the drink through a fine strainer into cup
  • allowed to warm up at room temperature
  • add a tsp of honey and cinnamon powder
  • stir it
  • Have a healthy drink in the night !
